Chip Butty have been putty in some serious work this year as this is their third release in five months. Although the saying goes “quality over quantity”, Chip Butty records have decided to grace us with both. Official Description: “Dr.Cryptic’s Chip Butty Recordings is a Sheffield-based label focusing on all underground dance sounds: from garage to UK funky and bass, and it has been on a high since its first EP back in 2011. This time, Dr.Cryptic himself teams up with newcomer Kommon for a four-track bombshell, ranging from two-step to more housey realms. Kommon’s “Kariboo” is a shaking, no nonsense jacker whereas “Outfitter” goes deeper into the bass medley.
