0dBridge & Skeptical – Move Way (R&S Records) [RS1311]
After recently signing to the renowned R&S label, dBridge (owner of Exit Records) is set to release a new 3 track EP titled ‘Move Way’. Already widely considered as a major player on the D’n’B scene, dBridge has worked with the likes of Metalheadz, Renegade Hardware and Bad Company – defining history over the years with releases such as Nitrous and Planet Dust.
R&S is a significant label in showcasing various forms of electronic music over the years, with talent such as Lone and James Blake. dBridge fits into this lineage well; although his feet are firmly planted in drum & bass already, he also has an appeal that extends well beyond any one subgenre. ‘Move Way’ is our favourite on the EP, using the same sample as ‘Amoss – Bumbaclart’, but with a fresh twist – sharp powerful kicks and a sublime bass. As this EP features two originals and one collab with Skeptical– forming part of dBridge’s Exit Recordscrew – this release should appeal to everyone.
Check out their recent mixmag session here.
